Job summary

Affinity Trust is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Lochgilphead to help people live their best lives with confidence and choice. You will work closely with individuals who enjoy cooking, arts and crafts, and community activities, providing person-centred support and practical help daily.

We offer full training, including SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and a compassionate team environment. A PVG check is required, and you will gain rewarding experience helping people achieve

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car are required.
• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification is provided for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals to live as independently as possible.
• Assist with day-to-day tasks such as managing post, attending appointments, shopping, meal preparation and general household tasks.
• Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner, while encouraging participation in activities the person enjoys.

The role involves supporting them to live as independently as possible while encouraging participation in activities they enjoy and helping build confidence in everyday life. Support will include assistance with day-to-day tasks such as managing post, attending appointments, shopping, meal preparation, and general household organisation, as well as providing some personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.

We provide complete training to enable you to provide the best support you can to people living with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
