Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Fishguard is recruiting for a part-time support worker to assist three ladies with daily activities and social engagement. You will join a dedicated team delivering 24-hour care, with rotas published at least four weeks ahead to support personal and social plans.

The role requires a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication, flexibility across shifts including evenings and weekends, and a caring attitude toward individuals with learning disabilities.

Job description

We have a vacancy in our Supported living service in Fishguard. You will work as part of a dedicated and long-standing team who put the people we support at the heart of everything we do.

You will be supporting 3 active ladies with all the activities they enjoy in live from Holidays, Horse Riding, Volunteering, Swimming and plenty of shopping. Living live to the full!

There are a variety of shift patterns including sleep ins, days, weekends and bank holidays. We are committed to work with individuals to ensure a good work life balance, rotas are out at least 4 weeks in advance to support with this.

What we're looking for:

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options:

• Part-time: flexible hours based on availability

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

• Days: Between 07:00-22:00


• Sleep-ins: 22:00-07:00

There is also a sleep-in available where you willreceive an enhanced flat rate payment of£64.20.
