Mencap in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a Female Support Worker with a valid UK driving licence to join our team. You will support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives, assist with personal care and medication, and help with finances and everyday tasks.
Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and overnight. We offer 24 days annual leave, training, and a supportive environment. Right to work in the UK without sponsorship applies; female-only post due to service needs.

Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routines
Assist with personal care and medication, including bathing and dressing
Help with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill payments
Encourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groups
Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of life
Build trusting, meaningful relationships based on empathy and respect
A genuine passion for supporting others
Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnight
A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude
Willingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI check
Clean UK drivers license is required for this role
Shifts:
Day Shifts: 9.00am - 9.00pm
Night Shifts: 9:00pm – 9:00am

Mencap holds a Home Office sponsorship licence; however, due to current restrictions on our allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
