Job summary

Real Life Options is hiring a Female Support Worker in Ilkeston (DE7 8XW). The role is full-time, 39 hours per week, and permanent, paying £12.71 per hour.

You will work in a service comprising apartments and bungalows for adults with mild to complex needs, supporting independence at home. Responsibilities include following daily planners, helping with finances, domestic tasks, medication administration, personal care, meal planning, maintaining relationships, and helping clients access

Qualifications

• DBS enhanced/background check is required.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs is valued.

Female Support Worker

Ilkeston, DE7 8XW
£12.71 per hour

Full-time 39 hours per week - Permanent

Real Life Options provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs.

We provide individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The purpose-built accommodation is made of individual apartments and purpose-built bungalows.

The service comprises of 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.

About the Role

You will be supporting individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible, this involves;

• following daily planners
• helping with financial expenditure
• domestic support and administration of medication

There may also be some support with;

• personal care
• meal planning/preparation
• maintaining important relationships
• support to find new friendships

A rewarding part of the role will be encouraging participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion. Seeking new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support which could include volunteering roles and further education access.

Shift patterns

• Hours between 7am to 10pm

Working on a rota, you will be required to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays with planned time off.

Flexibility to cover any of these shift patterns over the 7 day weekly period is essential

An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
