Job summary

Real Life Options is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist a bubbly lady in the Sheffield area with daily living and community activities. You will work across home and supported living settings, helping with personal care, cooking and budgeting, while promoting independence.

Driving is preferred as you’ll support activities in the local community. A DBS check is required and training will be provided. Flexible shifts include day, evening, sleep-in and weekends.

About the Role

You’ll be delivering creative, dynamic and person-centred support to adults living in their own homes and supported living settings.

You will help people with a range of needs, including:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Mental health needs
  • Physical health conditions

Every day is different, and your support may include:

  • Personal care
  • Cooking, cleaning and household tasks
  • Medication support
  • Budgeting, shopping and attending appointments
  • Helping people build confidence and independence
  • Supporting individuals to engage in community activities and meaningful routines

You’ll be part of a supportive team but may also work independently at times, building genuine relationships that make a real difference in people’s lives.

We’ll support you to learn, grow and develop throughout your career.

Who You’ll Be Supporting

As part of this role, you’ll be supporting a bubbly, friendly and active lady who enjoys a busy and fulfilling lifestyle within her local community.

She has a packed social calendar and loves getting out and about, so we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, sociable and happy to get involved in the activities she enjoys.

Her interests include:

  • Visiting cat shelters and local farms (a love of animals is essential!)
  • Playing bingo
  • Visiting local pubs and cafés
  • Attending local social clubs and community groups
  • Enjoying regular activities and events in the community

You’ll play a key role in supporting her to maintain her independence, access the activities she loves and continue building connections within her community.

We’re looking for someone who is positive, reliable, patient and enjoys forming meaningful relationships while promoting choice, independence and inclusion.

Working Hours

This role includes:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Sleep-in shifts
  • Weekend working

You will need to be available for a range of shift patterns.

Previous experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.

An enhanced Adult DBS check is required.
