Job summary

Community Case Management Services Ltd is seeking experienced female support workers to join Daisy’s team, providing active care for a child with cerebral palsy and complex needs in a family home. The role involves 24 hours per week with flexibility for day and night shifts.

Candidates should have prior experience with CP, autism, epilepsy, and challenging behaviour; a full driving licence is required. DBS checks are mandatory, and NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to undertake Care

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Experience with Cerebral Palsy, Autism and complex care epilepsy and challenging behaviour.
  • Must be comfortable around animals in the home (dog present).
  • A full and clean driving licence.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable; willing to undertake the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in supporting all care needs for the client.
  • Assist with daily living tasks and personal care.
  • Coordinate with the care team and family to ensure consistent support.

Job description

Daisy (12) is a lively, active little girl who lives in a busy and fun household with her 3 siblings. Daisy is a girlie girl, she loves musical, music and dancing. If you like to chat and sing you will get on like a house on fire.

Daisy has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and she is a wheelchair user. Daisy has extremely complex needs and has a central line for all her nutritional requirements and is dependent on her care team for all her personal care needs.

Daisy is a little chatterbox; she is sweet and friendly, but she can present at times with challenging behaviours.

We are looking for experienced *Female support workers to join Daisy’s team. You will play a very active role in supporting all her care needs

Daisy likes to play on her iPad, watch TV and loves having stories read to her. A fully equipped carer’s room is provided with a video monitor and heart rate monitor to allow you to keep watch on Daisy at all times.

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Previous experience with Cerebral Palsy, Autism and complex care epilepsy and challenging behaviour.
  • Must be comfortable working around animals as there is a dog in the home
  • Flexibility is essential
  • A full and clean driving license.

Working Hours:

24 hours per week

Must be flexible to work days and nights

Rates of Pay:

Weekdays: £15.75 per hour

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable, otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake the Care Certificate.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.
