Job summary

Voyage Care in the United Kingdom is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help people live more independently. This role covers a supported living setting in Coates, Whittlesey PE7, with shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends. You will assist with personal care, support daily activities, and enable community access.

The team emphasises a person-centred approach and safeguarding, with DBS checks and training provided. Applicants with epilepsy experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be genuinely caring and support-driven, with a patient, active approach.
• Experience with epilepsy or neurological support is preferred.
• UK driving licence may be required depending on role and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals gain independence in daily living tasks.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines as required.
• Encourage and enable socialisation and community access through activities.
• Support activities such as swimming, shopping, and cheerleading where appropriate.

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female*Support Workers with Epilepsy experience with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the life of the Lady we support by teaching new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging her to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. Such as swimming, shopping and cheer leading.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, .
