Job summary

Community Case Management Services Ltd is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist a 54-year-old woman with an acquired brain injury, sight loss and epilepsy. The role covers 12 hours per week, with scope to help cover other staff absences as needed.

You will support personal care, domestic tasks and community activities, while engaging the client in hobbies and visits to theatres, gigs and venues. A full driving licence is essential for client visits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with clients with sight loss and Epilepsy, including rescue medications.
• Good communication skills and keenness to engage client in activities and offer new ideas.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Job description

Our client is a 54-year-old lady with an acquired brain injury, sight loss and Epilepsy.
She has an existing care team in place but is looking for a new person to fill 12 hoursa week, with scope to help cover other staff absences as needed.
As part of the duties, you would support our client with personal care tasks, domestictasks and accessing the community. Our client has a wicked sense of humour andenjoys a good chat with her support workers about current topics and shows. She likes to spend her time listening to quiz shows on the tv and radio, listening to SOAPs,going to her beauty and wellbeing appointments, visiting the theatre and gigs andshort getaways at the seaside. She partakes in regular exercise throughout the weekunder the guidance of her Physiotherapist.
An ideal candidate will have experience working with clients with sight loss andEpilepsy, including the use of rescue medications. They will have goodcommunication skills and a keenness to engage our client in her activities and offernew ideas. A full driving licence is essential.

Working Hours:
12 hours per week

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce with Barring. Full training will be provided.
