Job summary

Eden Futures is a UK care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. We are recruiting Female Specialist Support Workers to assist people in their own homes and in the community, promoting independence and wellbeing.

We offer development pathways, e-learning and practical training, with strong emphasis on values and career progression. Roles are paid at £12.71 per hour, based on a 42-hour week, pro rata for actual hours worked.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate with a genuine desire to help service users live independently.
• Values-driven recruitment approach, focusing on alignment with Eden Futures’ culture.
• Ability to stay positive and support colleagues through challenging days.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
• Minimum 6–12 months of care experience is required for Specialist roles.

Responsibilities

• Support service users to lead a full and active life aligned with their wishes and care plans.
• Keep individuals safe and take action to safeguard welfare and prevent abuse.
• Provide emotional support with a person-centred approach.
• Assist with social activities, finances, medications, and daily practical tasks at home and in the community.
• Be a point of contact for families, social workers and others in the circle of support.
• Accurately report issues related to care and wellbeing to monitoring systems.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations and promote safe practices.
