Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a warm and empathetic live-in support worker to join a client in the Gosport/Portsmouth area. The role focuses on person-centred care, companionship and enabling daily independence within a loving home environment.

The successful candidate will build a trusting relationship, engage in meaningful conversations and provide day-to-day support, including meals, routines and light housekeeping. A genuine occupational requirement applies.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support with day-to-day activities.
• Supporting the client with morning and evening routines.
• Preparing meals and drinks, considering preferences and dietary needs.
• Helping with household duties, including light cleaning, laundry and tidying.
• Accompanying her for outings, visits to family and time with her dog.
• Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
• Supporting independence and choice wherever possible.
• Building a trusting, patient and person-centred relationship.

Are you a kind, caring and friendly person who enjoys building meaningful relationships, having a laugh and making a positive difference to someone’s life?We are looking for a female live-in support worker to join our lovely client in the Gosport area and become a valued part of her support team.About the client:Our client is a lovely lady in her late 20s who has Cerebral Palsy, which affects her movement and coordination, along with Autism and Anxiety. She is looking for a kind, friendly and compassionate female live-in support worker who can provide person-centred support while also becoming a positive and trusted part of her daily life.She is a caring and thoughtful person who enjoys spending time with her family, having a good laugh and enjoying friendly banter with her support staff. Good communication is particularly important to her, and she enjoys meaningful conversations with people who take the time to listen and get to know her. She particularly enjoys music, with Pink being a favourite! She also has a much-loved dog who lives with her parents, and she enjoys visiting them to spend time with her dog.The ideal support worker will be warm, approachable and genuinely enjoy meaningful conversations, having a laugh and building a strong relationship with the client.
