Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants to support learners across Cardiff and South Wales, delivering 1:1 and small-group assistance in Further Education settings.

You’ll work with lecturers and support teams to help learners access courses, develop independence and life skills, using positive behaviour strategies. EWC registration is required or willing to obtain; FE/post-16 experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with ALN/SEN/SEMH is desirable.
• EWC registration is required.
• FE, college or Post-16 experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support ALN learners on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Assist lecturers to enable access to academic, vocational and practical courses.
• Help learners develop confidence, independence and life skills.
• Apply positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies.
• Build professional relationships and adapt approaches to individual needs.
