Job summary
Ambitek Limited seeks time-served FCAW (Flux Core) Welders for a long-term, ongoing role near Birkenhead. You will perform FCAW flux-core welding, including vertical and overhead butt welds, and use a ceramic backing strip where required.
Applicants must demonstrate proven FCAW experience and be able to pass the required trade test. Digs payment is available for workers traveling from over 40 miles from site; PAYE only.
Qualifications
- Time-served welder with proven FCAW/Flux Core welding experience.
- Experience with vertical and overhead welding.
- Shipyard experience preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete the required trade test.

Our client, a large established company based in Birkenhead, is currently looking for Time-Served FCAW (Flux Core) Welders for long-term, ongoing work.

- FCAW welding using flux core wire

- Welding using a ceramic backing strip
- Time-served Welder
- Proven experience with FCAW / Flux Core welding
- Experience with vertical and overhead welding
- Shipyard experience preferred
- Relevant experience and qualifications required
- Must be able to successfully complete the required trade test
- Basic: £21.51 per hour
- Overtime 1: £32.27 per hour (1.5x)
- Overtime 2: £43.02 per hour (2x)
- Long-term, ongoing work
- Regular overtime available
- PAYE only
