Job summary

Ambitek Limited in Birkenhead is seeking time-served FCAW welders for long-term, ongoing work in the North West. You will perform FCAW/Flux Core welding, including vertical and overhead butt welds, and must pass a trade test. Shipyard experience is preferred and digs payment is available for travel from over 40 miles from site.

PAYE only positions with regular overtime. Basic rate £21.51 per hour, overtime rates £32.27 and £43.02 per hour apply.

Qualifications

• Time-served welder with FCAW/Flux Core welding experience.
• Vertical and overhead welding experience.
• Must be able to pass the required trade test.
• Shipyard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW/Flux Core welding including vertical and overhead butt welds.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards on site.
• Complete the required trade test successfully.

FCAW FLUX CORE WELDERS REQUIRED - NORTH WEST

Our client, a large established company based in Birkenhead, is currently looking for Time-Served FCAW (Flux Core) Welders for long-term, ongoing work.

***Digs payment available for workers travelling from over 40 miles from site***

Trade Test Required

• FCAW welding using flux core wire
• Vertical and overhead butt welds
• Welding using a ceramic backing strip

Requirements

• Time-served Welder
• Proven experience with FCAW / Flux Core welding
• Experience with vertical and overhead welding
• Shipyard experience preferred
• Relevant experience and qualifications required
• Must be able to successfully complete the required trade test

Pay Rates

• Basic: £21.51 per hour
• Overtime 1: £32.27 per hour (1.5x)
• Overtime 2: £43.02 per hour (2x)
