Job summary

Ambitek Limited is seeking Time-Served FCAW Welders for a long-term, ongoing position in the North West region, Birkenhead area. You will perform FCAW (flux core) welding on vertical and overhead butt welds, using a ceramic backing strip where required, and demonstrate trade-test readiness.

Basic pay is £21.51 per hour with overtime rates at £32.27 (1.5x) and £43.02 (2x). PAYE only, with digs payment available for workers traveling from over 40 miles from site; shipyard-experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Time-served welder with FCAW/flux-core welding experience.
• Experience with vertical and overhead welding.
• Shipyard experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass the required trade test.
• Digs payment available for travel over 40 miles.

Responsibilities

• FCAW welding using flux core wire.
• Vertical and overhead butt welds.
• Welding using a ceramic backing strip.
• Prepare for and complete the trade test as required.
