Job summary

Ambitek Limited seeks time-served FCAW flux core welders for long-term, ongoing work at the North West site. Digs payment is available for travelers from over 40 miles, and a trade test is required.

Welding will focus on FCAW flux core, with vertical and overhead butt welds and ceramic backing strip usage. Shipyard experience is preferred, and successful candidates must complete the trade test to secure the role.

Qualifications

FCAW FLUX CORE WELDERS REQUIRED - NORTH WEST

Our client, a large established company based in Birkenhead, is currently looking for Time-Served FCAW (Flux Core) Welders for long-term, ongoing work.

***Digs payment available for workers travelling from over 40 miles from site***

Trade Test Required

• FCAW welding using flux core wire
• Vertical and overhead butt welds
• Welding using a ceramic backing strip

Requirements

• Time-served Welder
• Proven experience with FCAW / Flux Core welding
• Experience with vertical and overhead welding
• Shipyard experience preferred
• Relevant experience and qualifications required
• Must be able to successfully complete the required trade test

Pay Rates

• Basic: £21.51 per hour
• Overtime 1: £32.27 per hour (1.5x)
• Overtime 2: £43.02 per hour (2x)
