CRA Consulting are recruiting an experienced Fast Track EL/PL Litigator for a Sheffield-based role. You will manage your own litigated EL/PL caseload from instruction to settlement or trial, with strong focus on advocacy, negotiation and timely progression.

The position offers £30,000 - £45,000 DOE, with flexible working, free parking and a comprehensive benefits package. Applications from Solicitors, Legal Executives or experienced Fee Earners are welcome.

Role: Fast Track EL/PL Litigator
Location: Sheffield

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
CRA Consulting are working with an established law firm with a strong presence in the Personal Injury market. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Fast Track EL/PL Litigator into their Sheffield team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner or Litigator who wants to handle their own litigated caseload within a supportive and well-established department.
The firm can offer a salary of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, alongside flexibility, free parking and a strong overall benefits package.

The Role

You will take responsibility for your own caseload of predominantly Employer's Liability and Public Liability Fast Track claims, managing matters through the litigation process from instruction to settlement or trial.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of litigated EL/PL Fast Track Personal Injury claims
• Handling matters from instruction through to settlement or trial
• Assessing liability, causation and quantum
• Reviewing medical evidence and supporting documentation
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules and other legal documents
• Issuing proceedings and progressing claims through the court process
• Conducting negotiations with defendants, insurers and their representatives
• Making and responding to Part 36 offers
• Ensuring compliance with court directions, deadlines and procedural requirements
• Providing clients with clear, practical advice throughout their claim
• Working towards appropriate performance and settlement targets

Experience of handling RTA litigation would also be welcomed, although the key requirement is a good grounding in EL/PL work.

What we're looking for

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Legal Executives and experienced non-qualified Fee Earners who can demonstrate a solid background in claimant Personal Injury litigation. Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience handling EL/PL Personal Injury claims
• Experience of litigated Fast Track matters
• Good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Confidence managing your own caseload
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Excellent client-care skills
• The ability to manage court deadlines and competing priorities

You do not necessarily need to be a qualified Solicitor. The firm is much more interested in your practical litigation experience and ability to independently manage a caseload.
