CRA Legal in Sheffield is seeking a Claimant Litigation Fee Earner to join its Personal Injury team. You will manage your own caseload across diverse claimant matters, taking ownership from investigation to settlement.

Responsibilities

• Run your own caseload of claimant Personal Injury matters.
• Investigate claims, assess liability, causation and quantum.
• Advise clients on merits and progression of their claims.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents.
• Review medical reports and supporting evidence.
• Obtain witness evidence and prepare statements.
• Prepare schedules of loss and assist with claim valuation.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, experts, and counsel.
• Conduct settlement negotiations and progress cases through court directions.
• Support hearing and trial preparation and maintain case records.

CRA Consulting is pleased to be representing a well-established and respected law firm in the appointment of a Claimant Litigation Fee Earner to join its expanding Personal Injury team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm with a strong track record of supporting individuals following serious accidents and injuries. The team handles a diverse range of claimant matters and is known for combining high-quality legal work with a genuinely client-focused approach.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and experienced litigation team, taking ownership of their own caseload while working alongside colleagues who are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for their clients. The role would suit an experienced Fee Earner, Litigation Executive, Legal Executive or Paralegal with a solid background in claimant Personal Injury litigation who is looking for their next opportunity within a progressive and supportive environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll have responsibility for progressing a varied portfolio of claimant Personal Injury matters, with the level of complexity tailored to your existing experience. The team's work can include:

• Road Traffic Accident claims.
• Employers' Liability claims.
• Public Liability claims.
• Occupiers' Liability matters.
• More complex and serious injury claims, depending on experience.

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your files, provide clear and practical advice to clients, and progress claims through the appropriate stages of the litigation process.

Your Responsibilities

• Running your own caseload of claimant Personal Injury matters.
• Investigating the circumstances of claims and assessing liability, causation and quantum.
• Advising clients on the merits and progression of their claims.
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings and other legal documentation.
• Reviewing medical reports and supporting evidence.
• Obtaining witness evidence and preparing witness statements.
• Preparing schedules of loss and assisting with the valuation of claims.
• Liaising with clients, insurers, experts, counsel and other professionals.
• Conducting settlement negotiations and working towards favourable outcomes.
• Progressing litigated matters in accordance with court directions and procedural deadlines.
• Supporting with hearing and trial preparation where necessary.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant case records throughout.
• Providing a consistently high level of client service.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in speaking with legal professionals who have hands‑on experience within claimant Personal Injury litigation and are comfortable managing files with a good degree of autonomy. You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience handling claimant Personal Injury claims.
• A good understanding of the litigation process and relevant Civil Procedure Rules.
• Experience managing your own caseload.
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
• The confidence to communicate effectively with clients and other legal professionals.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to progressing matters and meeting deadlines.
• A genuine commitment to providing excellent client care.

Applications are welcomed from Fee Earners, Litigation Executives, Legal Executives and experienced Paralegals with relevant claimant Personal Injury experience. Experience of EL/PL, serious injury or more complex litigation would be advantageous but isn’t essential for candidates with a strong general Personal Injury background.
