Job summary

The University of Westminster is seeking three Graduate Technicians to provide customer-focused technical support in our Fashion studios at Harrow. You will supervise students during open access hours, monitor the machine room and assist with small sewing tasks such as buttonholes, contributing to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

We welcome recent Fashion Design graduates (undergrad or postgrad) with an interest in garment construction and basic sewing equipment, including flatbed

Qualifications

• Recent Fashion Design graduate (undergrad or postgrad)
• Interest in garment construction
• Proficiency with basic flatbed sewing machines and overlockers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during open access hours
• Monitor the specialist machine room
• Complete small sewing tasks (e.g., buttonholes)
• Assist with health and safety compliance in fashion spaces
• Prepare materials for workshops and create learning handouts
• Maintain equipment and support digital plotting service
