Our client is a successful fast fashion ladieswear supplier based in Manchester, owning manufacturing factories in China, offering a robust supply chain for retail customers in the UK. They supply to major brands like RIVER ISLAND, SHEIN, NEW LOOK, and THE BOOHOO GROUP, and are seeking experienced Fashion Sales Business Development Managers to expand their product reach and develop new business with retailers such as NEXT and other high street brands across the UK and Europe.

This role can be based in Manchester with a hybrid working model or remotely for candidates in London and other parts of the UK. The ideal candidates will be proactive, tenacious, with experience in the UK fashion supply industry, product knowledge, and supply chain manufacturing experience in China and the Far East.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities within UK and European high street retailers
  • Work according to sales strategies and planning
  • Develop existing accounts with high street retailers and online brands
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients
  • Present and sell products and services to current and potential clients
  • Liaise with manufacturing in China/Far East, providing feedback to relevant departments
  • Identify and resolve client concerns
  • Monitor trends and competitor ranges
  • Suggest business growth opportunities
  • Implement special sales activities to reduce stock
  • Participate in marketing events and trade shows
  • Conduct customer development meetings
Skills and Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in fashion sales within successful UK fashion suppliers (B2B)
  • Minimum of 3 years working with UK high street retailers and online ladieswear fast fashion brands
  • Background in young ladieswear fast fashion
  • Strong communication skills across all business levels and with external clients
  • Proven sales success in the ladieswear fashion supplier industry
  • Experience in developing existing accounts and managing multiple products
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with good product knowledge
