Derbyshire County Council is seeking Family Time Assistants to support children, young people and families during Family Time. The role involves observing sessions, safeguarding duties, and recording information to help create safe, positive opportunities for children to spend time with their parents and carers.

You will work in Derbyshire settings, including council buildings or community venues, traveling to remote areas when required and collaborating with professionals to support families

Qualifications

• Experience caring for others, via work, volunteering or personal life.
• Level 2 qualification including English and Maths.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care desirable.
• Able to travel to remote areas and transport service users when required.

Responsabilités

• Support and observe Family Time between children and their parents or carers.
• Role model and provide guidance in challenging situations.
• Coordinate Family Time, including transporting children and liaising with families.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and foster carers.
• Record information accurately using technology and maintain safeguarding practices.
• Identify changes in families’ circumstances and respond appropriately.
