Job summary

Kent County Council's North Kent Family Time Service is seeking a Social Work Assistant based at the Swale Local Office with travel across North Kent. The role focuses on facilitating Family Time, supporting parents, and ensuring children have positive experiences within care plans.

You will transport children when needed, document sessions accurately, and liaise with Social Workers and professionals to inform assessments and court work. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to build good working relationships with families, foster carers and other professionals.
• Strong written documentation and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel across a wide geographical area and work flexibly with transport involvement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and supervise Family Time sessions to ensure children's best experience and support parents as needed.
• Assist with transport arrangements including transporting children to implement care plans.
• Accurately document sessions to assist Social Workers with assessments and care plans.
• Produce clear reports and case notes and liaise with Social Workers and other professionals.
