Job description

Family Support Worker (Casual Worker), London

This role is based at HMP Belmarsh, working as part of the Pact Family team. Responsibilities include providing support, advice, and guidance to visiting families, supporting the Cafe Service (a Social Enterprise), and organizing play activities for children. The role requires a multidisciplinary approach across all areas.

We prioritize personal responsibility for excellence, focusing on customer service, ensuring staff, volunteers, and prisoners treat all customers with respect, and providing a welcoming service aligned with Pact's values.

About you:

• Demonstrable experience and understanding of customer service
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a demanding workload
• Good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection
• Knowledge of promoting diversity and accessibility
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with various audiences including prisoners, families, staff, and agencies

Additional Information:

This role is open to current casual staff across London and SE Prisons interested in additional hours at Belmarsh.
