Looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking Support Workers / Intervenors to join our Intervenor Service in the North London area, working across locations such as Waltham Cross & Watford.

Provide 1:1 support to children and adults with congenital Deafblindness, promoting personal and social development and encouraging independence through access to activities.

You will receive specialist training in supporting individuals with dual-sensory impairments, often with other disabilities. No prior professional care experience is required!

It is essential to have a full UK driving license and your own vehicle.

We are recruiting for bank/relief Intervenors, with potential for permanent roles based on individual needs. Current hours in North London include:

  • (Child) Waltham Cross – 4 hours/week: Supporting a young child twice weekly to develop communication and understanding through play and intensive interaction.
  • (Child and Adults) Watford – 16 hours/week: Supporting a child with arts, crafts, role play, and dance; supporting an adult to access the community and develop life skills; supporting a child with sensory activities; supporting a second adult with tactile and sensory experiences.

This role might include supporting people with:

  • Day-to-day activities led by the individual.
  • Enabling independent living.
  • Accessing activities based on sensory needs, communication, and interests.
  • Personal care and hygiene.
  • Community outings for shopping, social activities, etc.
