Willowbrook Mead Primary Academy is seeking a committed Family Support Worker to join our pastoral team. You will directly support children and families, deliver targeted interventions and work with staff and external agencies to reduce barriers to learning.

The role is site-based within our school community, requiring proactive engagement, safeguarding awareness, and the ability to manage emotionally heightened situations while maintaining professional boundaries.

Competenze

• Experience working directly with vulnerable children, young people and families.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and child protection practice.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in multi-agency collaboration and attending CIN/CP/Core Group meetings.
• Ability to maintain accurate records using safeguarding systems.

Mansioni

• Build positive relationships with children and families and carry out home visits.
• Lead family meetings, reviews and support planning to overcome barriers to learning.
• Be the welcoming point of contact for families and manage daily meet-and-greet activities.
• Deliver one-to-one interventions and support attendance, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Maintain records using CPOMS and coordinate with school staff and external agencies.
• Signpost families to services and contribute to nurture-based provision.
