Moseley School & Sixth Form in Birmingham is seeking a Family Support Worker to promote pupil safety, wellbeing and inclusion. The post-holder will lead safeguarding, attendance and behaviour daily, working with the Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral lead/DSL) and SENCO to ensure every child is safe, supported and ready to learn.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with families, removing barriers to learning and supporting pupils with complex needs, including those with SEND.

Formación

• Experience in safeguarding and pupil wellbeing in a school setting.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-agency partners and SENCO.
• Strong communication with families and colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead; maintain safeguarding records.
• Lead attendance improvement and engage families to support regular attendance.
• Support behaviour policy implementation and reintegration plans.
• Coordinate SEND support with the SENCO and external services.
• Collaborate with Deputy Headteacher and DSLs to drive inclusion.
• Deliver lunchtime nurture groups and mentoring focused on emotional regulation.
