Job summary

Action For Children is seeking a proactive Family Support Practitioner to help families with young children across Norfolk. The role focuses on delivering one-to-one home visits, running parenting programmes and group sessions, and coordinating with partner agencies to provide holistic support.

You will use a strengths-based approach to help families build on what is working well and support children to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Early Years or relevant study area.
• Experience working directly with children and families, either individually or in a group setting.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication.
• The ability to maintain written records to a high standard.
• The ability to coordinate referral, assessment, and support.
• Access to a suitable method of transport to travel to various settings to carry out your role.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in the family home.
• Deliver parenting programmes and group sessions.
• Work with partner agencies to coordinate support and attend multi-agency meetings.
• Use a strengths-based approach to help families build on what is working well.
• Support children and families to achieve positive and measurable outcomes.
