Job summary

Northamptonshire Children's Trust is seeking a Strengthening Families Practitioner to join our Children and Family Support Services. Based in Family Hubs in the North Northants locality (Wellingborough or Kettering), you will deliver structured family support and group work, building strong relationships with families to improve outcomes.

You will assess needs, coordinate services with partners, and advocate for safeguarding and positive change, working flexibly and as part of a team to achieve

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience of partnership working with other professionals.
• Flexibility and creativity in the support offered to families.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of families and provide structured one-to-one support.
• Coordinate services with partner agencies to ensure timely support.
• Lead or co‑work Team Around the Family meetings and develop tailored plans.
• Carry out needs and risk assessments to inform support plans.
• Work in families' homes using evidence-based interventions to bring positive change.
• Participate in safeguarding processes and multi‑agency meetings.
