Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is expanding its Targeted Family Help team and seeking Keyworkers to join the Disabled Children's Team across the county. You will build relationships with children and families, deliver evidence-based interventions, and manage difficult conversations with a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification or relevant experience, and a driving licence. Flexible and hybrid working options are available, with DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Directly support children and families with complex needs.
• Experience with evidence-based interventions (e.g., solution-focused approaches, parenting programmes).
• Knowledge of safeguarding, information-sharing and confidentiality protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to children and families in the home.
• Develop positive relationships with families and children.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and monitor progress.
• Navigate challenging conversations professionally and de-escalate when needed.
• Contribute to growth and transformation of services across Leicestershire.
