Job summary

Bradford YMCA invites applications for a family support role focused on improving parenting capacity, access to employment/training, and children's attendance. The role involves working with families at home and after school hours to build skills and safety in daily life.

You will collaborate with services to connect families with CAMHS, befriending, youth services, and other supports, while maintaining accurate EHM records.

Responsibilities

• Support parents to implement routines and boundaries with their children
• Support parents to ensure their children attend school. This could involve directly taking children & YP to school initially and then monitoring progress as routines are established and consolidated
• Direct work with children and young people to access services meeting their support needs (e.g. CAMHS, befriending, youth services)
• Direct work with parents to improve parenting capacity through access to targeted or specialist services (e.g. mental health, substance misuse, debt advice)
• Keep accurate records of support delivered on the Early Help Module (EHM) database
