Job summary

Ormiston Forge Academy in Cannock is seeking a compassionate Safeguarding Support Worker to join the safeguarding and pastoral team. You will support vulnerable students and their families, help remove barriers to learning, and ensure pupils feel safe, heard and supported; you will work with the DSL/DDSL, attendance and behaviour teams, and external agencies.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in maths and English (A-C/4+)
• NVQ Level 3 or above in Family Support, Social Work, Childcare, Play Work, Community Development or Children’s Health
• First Aid qualification is desirable

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students and support safeguarding and welfare.
• Perform 1:1 wellbeing sessions and online safety discussions with students and families.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and work with the DSL/DDSL, pastoral staff and external agencies
