A respected Tameside-based firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to lead its family department following a recent senior departure. With a paralegal and trainee already in place and plenty of work incoming, this role is ideal for someone looking to build and shape their own team, supported by a firm that values commercial thinking, compassion, and collaboration.

You will be stepping into a team with excellent foundations and high demand, with the freedom to structure and grow the department as you see fit. Who we’re looking for

• A well-rounded family solicitor with experience in matrimonial, private children, and legal aid work
• Comfortable managing a busy, predominantly privately funded caseload
• Commercially minded—able to identify, manage, and grow viable work streams
• Friendly, down-to-earth, motivated by building a team and making a difference
• Previous management experience is ideal but not essential if you have leadership qualities and drive
