This permanent hybrid role offers a salary of 45,000–60,000 GBP, a recognised firm environment with development opportunities, and the chance to build long‑term client relationships while advancing your Family practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with relevant Family Law experience.
• Strong experience in divorce and financial matters.
• Experience with Legal Aid work or interest in developing this area.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Confident and empathetic approach to client care.
• Ability to manage own caseload independently.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of Family matters, focusing on divorce and financial matters.
• Advising clients on divorce and separation.
• Handling financial remedy and matrimonial finance proceedings.
• Advising on property and financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown.
• Negotiating settlements and representing clients through court proceedings.

Overview of the Family Solicitor role

We are currently working with an established and busy Family team in Kidderminster who are looking to appoint a Family Solicitor with experience in divorce and financial matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor looking to join a supportive and established team, with a strong client base and a varied caseload. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their Family practice while providing clear, practical and empathetic advice to clients.

Experience of, or an interest in developing, Private Family caseload would be welcomed.

Key responsibilities of the Family Solicitor will include

• Managing a varied caseload of Family matters, with a focus on divorce and financial matters

• Advising clients on divorce and separation

• Handling financial remedy and matrimonial finance proceedings

• Advising on property and financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown

• Negotiating settlements and representing clients through court proceedings

• Dealing with children matters where appropriate

• Undertaking Legal Aid cases

• Managing your own caseload effectively

• Providing clear, practical and empathetic advice to clients

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Required experience/qualifications of the Family Solicitor position will include

• Qualified Solicitor with relevant Family Law experience

• Strong experience in divorce and financial matters

• Experience of Legal Aid work, or a genuine interest in developing this area

• Excellent communication and advocacy skills

• Confident and empathetic approach to client care

• Ability to manage your own caseload independently

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Ability to contribute positively to an established team
