Job summary

Barnardo's is seeking a Project Worker 2 to support the BOOST Programme in Newtownabbey, focusing on improving literacy and numeracy for children and families. You will engage pupils in learning, deliver home learning packs, and run family learning sessions after school to promote learning at home.

The role requires teaching experience in primary settings, and a degree in teaching or PGCE. The post is funded until 31 March 2027 with opportunities for professional development and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification to degree level in teaching (BEd or PGCE).
• Demonstrable experience of teaching children in a primary school setting.
• Demonstrable experience of using engaging approaches to promote children's numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Engage pupils to improve numeracy and literacy with interventions.
• Deliver home learning packs and information sessions to parents.
