Job summary

Layton Primary School in Lancashire is seeking an enthusiastic Level 2 Learning Support Assistant for a temporary position until 31 August 2027. The role is 27.5 hours per week, term-time only with 1 additional week. Salary is pro rata at Grade C SCP5-6 (£26,427–£26,847 per annum).

The successful candidate will support in KS1 and work with pupils aged 4–11, bringing Literacy and Numeracy skills to in-class and targeted support sessions.

Qualifications

• Proven skills in literacy and numeracy.
• Background working with children aged 4–11.
• Experience supporting pupils in class and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Support in class and with selected individuals or groups.
• Assist learning activities for KS1 pupils.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
