Essex County Council seeks a part-time Family Learning Facilitator to deliver engaging programmes that help parents support their children’s education at home and in school. The role involves planning learner-centred sessions, collaborating with schools and community groups, and delivering sessions in various settings, including evenings and some weekends.

• KS1/KS2 English and Maths knowledge.
• Experience teaching, training or supporting learners.
• Good digital and ICT skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Desirable teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience delivering Family Learning or adult learning programmes.
• Experience working with parents, carers and families.
• Knowledge of learner assessment and progress tracking.
• Experience working with schools, community groups or educational settings.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Family Learning programmes that support adults to understand how children learn.
• Deliver evening and school holiday provision when required.
• Build relationships with schools, community organisations and partner agencies to promote learning opportunities.
• Support parents and carers to develop knowledge to support children’s learning.
• Use assessment methods to monitor learner progress and provide feedback.
