Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester is seeking an Early Intervention Worker to join the Best Start for Life Early Help Teams. You will work hands-on with children, young people and families who need extra support to improve lives.

You will coordinate, develop and deliver individual and group interventions for parents and carers of vulnerable children, aiming to improve parenting and family relationships. You’ll operate as part of a close, supportive team, delivering group work with parents and families

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with children, young people and families.
• Ability to have respectful, candid conversations.
• Capacity to manage a varied workload and engage multiple services.
• Understanding of early help and whole-family approaches.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate, develop and deliver individual and group interventions to parents/carers of vulnerable children.
• Support families to improve parenting skills and family relationships.
• Deliver early help strategies to support recovery and behaviour change.
