Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a proactive Best Start in Life Family Hub Worker to help deliver universal and targeted sessions across Buckinghamshire. You will provide parenting support, welcome families, and signpost them to relevant services, working as part of a wider Family Hub Network.

The role requires experience with children and families, NVQ Level 2/3, ICT skills, a driving licence, and an Enhanced DBS check. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people and families.
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
  • Good ICT skills and willingness to work evenings/weekends.
  • Full driving licence and Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and support universal sessions and targeted groups.
  • Provide parenting and Home Learning Environment support.
  • Be the first point of contact for families and professionals.
  • Offer information, advice and signposting.
  • Support transitions between services.
  • Collaborate with Buckinghamshire’s Family Hub Network.
