Job summary

Dorset Council UK is seeking a part-time Family Advisor to join Bridport Family Hub. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, welcoming the community, taking bookings, and guiding families to the right support.

This forward-facing role emphasizes advice, information sharing and signposting. You will support children and families in the West locality, collaborating with professionals and contributing to a broader spectrum of services.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative and ICT skills.
• Committed to supporting and improving outcomes for children and families.
• Able to communicate clearly with a range of people including families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with local services for children, young people and families.
• Be the link between the family information service and localities.
• Publish information about local services using online channels.
• Signpost families to appropriate support and services.
• Provide information and advice face to face, online and by telephone.
• Engage with community groups and other services to share information.
