What’s the purpose of the job?

Leading the safe, enthusiastic and healthy delivery of our DL Clubs children’s activity programme and providing members with an excellent experience every day.

What will I be doing?

  • Leading member-focused service and engagement at all times.
  • Leading the team to deliver children’s activities with structure and enthusiasm, encouraging maximum participation.
  • Delivering the children’s programme including: Core Club Programme, Holiday Active Programmes, and children’s parties.
  • Ensuring services meet all requirements of the Children’s Safety Guide at all times.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment, prioritizing children’s needs.
  • Maximizing member experience, participation, and value through coaching, quality sessions, communication, and facilities.
  • Engaging with members to improve their experience and seeking feedback via surveys, comment cards, and forums.
  • Resolving member queries or complaints effectively.
  • Recruiting, training, managing, and reviewing team members to develop a high-performance team.
  • Sharing knowledge and participating in team development.

How will I be measured?

  • Service quality and member engagement levels.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety and Children’s Safety standards.
  • Responsiveness to incidents, issues, or complaints.
  • Feedback from members, team members, and mystery shoppers.
  • Performance against company values and operating standards.
  • Compliance with legislative and audit requirements.
  • Revenue targets for Holiday Active and Parties programs.
  • Member participation rates, especially among families with children.
  • Cost management and achieving budget margins.
  • Provision of welcome sessions and engagement activities for new child members.
  • Contribution to club member growth, particularly families.
  • Regular visits from regional or support staff.

What qualifications, skills and experience do I need?

  • Qualification in teaching, childcare, or sports coaching (Essential).
  • Experience managing and leading a team (Essential).
  • Experience in financial planning and management.
  • Inspirational leadership skills.
  • Ability to confidently manage children with energy and enthusiasm (Essential).
