The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full‑time students with around 2,000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to take on this role within Faculty of Professional Studies.
Reporting directly to the Director of Professional Studies you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive support service to staff throughout the department.
Duties are varied and include monitoring budget expenditure and allocations, processing orders, invoices and payments, processing student application forms, supporting course advice events, working with data, checking exam entries as well as dealing with correspondence and as the main contact point for enquiries you will liaise with students, parents, staff and employers.
In addition to a good standard of general education, you should have a relevant business admin qualification along with previous experience of working in a varied and busy administrative and/or secretarial role. You will have a confident manner with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, excellent MS Office Skills (Word, Excel and Access) and will be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines. Hours of work are usually office hours Monday to Friday, but occasional attendance at open evenings and parents evenings will be required.
