Job summary

E3 Recruitment seeks a hands-on Factory Trainer to join a leading chilled foods business. You will develop colleagues on the production floor, induct new starters, and drive improvements in standards.

The role delivers practical training across operations, health & safety and food safety, reporting to the Training Manager. You will collaborate with production managers to plan training schedules and identify opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experienced delivering structured training in a factory setting (food/FMCG preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues at all levels.
• Able to prioritise and manage workload in a busy production environment.
• Proficient IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver induction training to new starters and ongoing training for staff to drive performance and compliance.
• Assess shop floor performance and support continuous improvement activities.
• Review and prepare SOPs and mentor new colleagues.
• Plan and coordinate training schedules and maintain the site training matrix.
• Collaborate with operations and production managers to identify training opportunities.

About the Role

As Factory Trainer, you'll be delivering engaging and practical training in areas such as operations, health & safety, and food safety.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you'll be part of a supportive team and some of your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering induction training to new-starters and ongoing training to existing staff to drive performance and ensure compliance.
• Assessing shop floor performance and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Reviewing and preparing SOPs and mentoring new colleagues.
• Planning and coordinating training schedules and ensuring the site training matrix is maintained.
• Working with operations and production managers to identify training opportunities.

About You

• Experienced of delivering structured training in a factory environment, ideally in a food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing.
