Job summary

T&K Associates are recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for Factory Labourers to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The role starts on a day shift and rotates as training completes.

Starting pay is £13.50 per hour with potential to rise to £16 after training. Weekly pay, pension, life assurance, and holidays are included along with forklift/other training. Permanent after 12 weeks and free parking apply.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving products.
• Happy to stand for the duration of your shift and perform repetitive duties.
• No beards due to half-face mask usage.

Responsibilities

• Cutting sheets of metal.
• Weighing and labeling products.
• Stacking products onto pallets manually.
• Performing machine checks.
• Quality checking the products.
• Forklift operation – training provided.
• Loading scrap metal in yard using JCB shovel.
• Using overhead crane.

T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a number of Factory Labourers to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

The role will be starting on a day shift and moving onto a rotating shift pattern once fully trained.

Factory Labourer Job Details & Benefits;

• Rotating shifts - Monday-Thursday 6:00-15:30 & Fridays 6:00-10:00 (with Friday overtime mandatory when required) and an afternoon shift every 3rd week Monday - Thursday 1pm-10:30pm.
• Starting hourly rate of £13.50 with the opportunity to rise to £16 with training sign off.

As a Factory Labourer you could be working across a number of departments where duties vary dependant on the area, however, could include the following;

• Cutting sheets of metal
• Weighing and labelling products
• Stacking products onto pallets manually
• Performing machine checks
• Quality checking the products
• Forklift operation - training is provided
• Working outside on the yard loading scrap metal using JCB shovel
• Using overhead crane
• Working to and ensure targets/deadlines are met
• Adhere to H&S within the workplace
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

Factory Labourer Person Specification;

• No beards (due to half-face mask use)
• Blood test is required quarterly due to the nature of products handles
• Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving the product
• Happy to stand for the duration of your shift & complete repetitive duties
• A valid FLT licence is desirable however not essential as training is available if interested
