Wakefield-based engineering employer is recruiting a Factory Labourer with the potential to train as an engineer. The role covers a 37.5 hour week on a day shift, with overtime paid at time and a half and opportunities for progression within the company.

Starting salary is £26,325 per year (£13.50 per hour) with 33 days holiday, long-term incentive plans, and a Private Health Plan. The company offers a 10% pension contribution and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• Factory Labourer role in an engineering environment with potential to progress to engineer.
• Overtime is paid at time and a half, and a fair shift pattern exists.
• Reliability, hard work and commitment are valued for progression.

Responsibilities

• Aid a large team of Engineering & Logistics staff with movement of products, parts, equipment and tooling.
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and hazard-free, including floor cleaning with motorized equipment.
• Carry out tasks as required to meet business needs.
• Often work with minimal supervision and initiative to organize/clean/sort areas.
• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift when required (license/experience preferred but not essential).
