Job summary

Unknown is seeking an IT & Data Systems Engineer to join a manufacturing business with an ambitious systems development program. The role focuses on owning the reliability of factory-floor systems and production data flows, bridging IT, OT, and business reporting needs, and supporting plant-floor PCs and connectivity.

You'll collaborate with the Infrastructure & Security Engineer to segment OT networks securely and work with the DBA & Systems Development Engineer on SQL/reporting pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment with high uptime requirements.
• Strong networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, routing) and impact on shop-floor systems.
• Practical experience supporting Windows endpoints and basic server dependencies.
• Working knowledge of SQL fundamentals.
• Ability to coordinate vendors and maintain disciplined documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own production data flows reliability, monitoring and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot SQL/ETL job failures impacting production reporting or decision-making.
• Support OT connectivity and plant-floor PCs in collaboration with Engineering and Vendors.
• Maintain an up-to-date OT asset inventory and documentation.
