Job summary

The Best Connection in Pershore is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join its maintenance team at a busy food manufacturing site.

You will carry out planned maintenance, diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns, and help improve equipment reliability while supporting safety and efficiency across production lines. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification required.
• Experience maintaining both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing/food FMCG environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site services.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Install, commission, modify and improve machinery and equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, packaging machinery and processing equipment.
• Fault-find on motors, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, VSDs and control panels.

Are you a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business looking to add an experienced engineer to its maintenance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role where you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site services.


• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.


• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.


• Install, commission, modify and improve machinery and equipment.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Recognised Engineering qualification


• Multi-skilled experience covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance


• Previous manufacturing maintenance experience

Desirable

• 18th Edition Electrical Qualification


• Food Manufacturing or FMCG experience


• PLC fault-finding experience


• Welding and fabrication skills


• Automation and controls experience


• IOSH Working Safely
