Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Factory Cleaner to join the Mars site in King’s Lynn. You will maintain production areas, offices, kitchens, entrances and walkways to high hygiene and safety standards within a busy manufacturing environment.

Essential experience in cleaning or industrial roles, good hygiene knowledge, ability to follow schedules, and strong attention to detail are required. Desirable COSHH awareness and IPAF or height-work experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Essential: Previous experience in a cleaning, factory, industrial or similar role.
• Essential: Good understanding of workplace hygiene and safety.
• Essential: Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
• Desirable: Previous industrial or high-level cleaning experience.
• Desirable: COSHH knowledge and safe chemical handling; IPAF qualification or experience working at height.

Responsibilities

• Clean factory, production, office and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Complete scheduled general and deep cleaning tasks.
• Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with COSHH procedures.
• Dispose of waste correctly and maintain clean waste areas.
• Follow all Health & Safety, hygiene and PPE requirements.
• Report hazards, damage or safety concerns promptly.
• Work independently and as part of the wider site team.

Job Title: Factory Cleaner Location: King's Lynn Contract: Permanent - Full Time 40 hours per week Working Pattern: 12 hour shifts: 2x 7:00am to 7:00pm & 2x 7:00pm to 7:00am and 5 days off. 3x 7:00am to 7:00pm and 1 day off. 3x 7:00pm to 7:00am 5 days off. Rate of Pay: £13.15 per hourAbout the roleWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Cleaner to join the Sodexo team working on-site at Mars in King's Lynn. This is a hands-on cleaning role within a busy manufacturing environment. You will help ensure production areas, offices, kitchens, entrances, walkways and other facilities are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Previous industrial or high-level cleaning experience.
• Experience working within a food manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and safe chemical handling.
• IPAF qualification or previous experience working at height.
