Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician to deliver janitorial and basic maintenance across our estate. This role supports safe, clean, well-maintained buildings used by the community, with a pattern that includes 7am–1pm shifts on weekdays and flexible hours to suit posted needs.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake PVG Scheme checks.
• Occasional sessional or flexible hours may be required.
• Permanent employment with above-market rates where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day FM and janitorial duties across one or more buildings.
• Carry out basic repairs, cleaning, and support moves as needed.
• Ensure security of premises and grounds and maintain equipment.
• Support maintenance of building services and facilities.
