Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician for Ratho Early Years Centre. The role covers day-to-day janitorial and DIY tasks across one or more buildings, including minor repairs, general maintenance, reactive cleaning, moves support and basic security functions.

Salary £27,257-£29,850 (pro rata for part time). Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 07:00am-09:30am and Friday 07:00am-09:00am.

Qualifications

• Caretaker/facilities experience helpful
• Ability to undertake basic maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Good health and safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings
• Perform minor repairs and general maintenance
• Provide moving/portering support and basic security functions
