National Trust is seeking an organised Facilities & Support Services Coordinator based at Penrose Bunkhouse, Helston. The role focuses on day-to-day administration, coordinating facilities, and supporting staff and volunteers within a close-knit team.

Working as part of a passionate team, you'll play an integral role to the property. This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
You’ll be based at our small, Friendly office at Penrose Bunkhouse in Chyvarloe, supporting the National Trusts Lizard and Mid Cornwall Portfolio. Around ten colleagues are based in the office, with staff and volunteers regular joining us for meetings and collaborative working, creating a welcoming and supportive Atmosphere.
As the Facilities and Support Services Coordinator, you’ll provide essential day-to-day coordination and support for the property office, helping to ensure our facilities, services and administrative arrangements run smoothly. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the portfolio, coordinating practical support, responding to day-to-day needs and helping create an effective working environment for staff and volunteers.

You’ll provide a comprehensive administration service and assist in the wider Herefordshire team, ensuring the property is a wonderful place for all to volunteer and work. There is some cleaning involved, ensuring our back offices and staff toilets are also presented correctly, but you'll mainly be the go-to person for assistance, also supervising contractors on site. You’ll work closely with all members of staff and volunteers on site, using your skills and expertise to support the operation. You'll be ensuring contractors are supervised on site, as well as looking after people and logistics. You’ll also be confident using a variety of IT packages to keep accurate records, ensuring compliance is adhered too, using National Trust systems, and writing internal communications. You'll be working with a wide range of team members and will be the first person on the phone for general enquires. You'll be making sure the staff and volunteer areas are the best they can be.
