Job summary

Royal Devon is seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee day-to-day non-clinical services across a group of community hospitals, including at least one inpatient site. You will ensure seamless delivery of cleaning, catering, laundry, and equipment services to meet NHS/PLACE and CQC standards.

The role requires coordinating with other departments, monitoring quality, reporting deficiencies, and supervising facilities staff across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising facilities services in NHS environments.
• Knowledge of NHS cleanliness standards and PLACE assessments.
• Ability to manage a 33-hour week and flexible hours.
• Commitment to health and safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning, catering, laundry, and patient equipment across sites.
• Monitor quality standards and report deficiencies.
• Coordinate maintenance and safety procedures across allocated sites.
• Ensure food safety and HACCP compliance in patient meals.
• Support ward staff and respond to incidents as they arise.
